We are looking to recruit a hardworking and enthusiastic team member who wants to join our fast paced and friendly working environment. This is a full-time permanent, role based at our Carlisle branch:


Key Areas of the Role:

As the Counter Supervisor, you will be leading the Counter Sales Team within our Carlisle branch, the position will appeal to candidates who see themselves as a natural leader, approachable, and trustworthy. You will be the Counter Team’s first point of contact for day-to-day enquiries with the aim of using problem-solving techniques to overcome issues when encountered, provide guidance to the team and mentor new team members.

In your new role you will be responsible for building relationships with customers to ensure repeat business, looking after initiatives to promote sales growth and ensuring the shop is well merchandised, priced and stocked. You will also be responsible for planning rotas, managing daily reports and ensuring successful communication with the Goods In, Picking and Sales Teams.


Experience & Skills:

  • Industry knowledge preferred.
  • Self-motivated with a customer-first approach.
  • The ability to organise and manage workload and carry out tasks to completion.
  • A positive and confident attitude with ability to motivate the team.
  • Ability to take and give instruction with the aim of meeting deadlines.
  • Previous experience in leading a team.
     

Hours of work:

4.5 days per week including: 8 am to 12 noon Saturday and 8 am to 5 pm on 4 working days (1pm early finish Friday – alternate weeks)
